After studying for an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design in Brisbane, stylist GEORGIA ASHDOWN moved to Sydney in 2001 where she worked as the Fashion Assistant on Australian ELLE magazine. After two years at ELLE, Georgia’s desire to travel the world and live overseas saw her pack her bags and settle in London.
Soon after she scored a highly coveted full-time production role at British Vogue where she had the opportunity to produce advertorials in the U.K, New York, Miami, Budapest and the Caribbean. After an extended visit back home to Australia (where she worked as the Fashion Editor at Sunday Magazine and Pages Online), Georgia returned to the fashion scene in London. It was here that she expanded her fashion education and training under the guidance of stylist Marie Chaix for magazines such as Self Service, Another, Italian Vogue, V, Acne Paper and Harper's Bazaar as well as fashion houses Chanel and Proenza Schouler.
To keep up with the changing industry and the growing presence of the digital arena, Georgia went on to study Digital Video Production at New York University in 2011. After five years living, working and studying abroad Georgia returned to Australia and is now based permanently in Sydney. Her vast knowledge and experience in all facets of the fashion and advertising means Georgia is just as comfortable styling high-profile advertising campaigns, editorial stories, television commercials or music videos. Her clients include P&O, Goldwell, Wrangler, Lee jeans, Ksubi, Levi’s, Sunday Magazine, Sunday Life, InStyle, Pages Digital, Oyster and Australian Vogue.
Her most recently digital project is DishPig which brings fashion, food and pop culture together into a simmering saucepan of goodness.
