Kimberley Forbes
Hair + Makeup Artist

With over 20 years experience in the hair and make up industry Kimberley Forbes continually strives for new challenges and inspiration. She says it is this that keeps her dreams alive to this day. Her passion for hair + makeup began as a little girl. In primary school she would beg her parents friends to let her give them makeovers, and in high school she could be found cutting her friends hair in the common room at lunch time. She would rip shoots out of her favourite magazines - The Face, ID, Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar - and stick them on her bedroom walls as inspiration. With this kind of drive, there was no doubt Kimberley wouldn't follow her dreams!

Throughout her extensive career, Kimberley has sought out the country's leading artists in both the hairdressing and make up industries to work alongside and learn from, which has honed her craft. She has been fortunate to be mentored by Trevor Sorbie, Brad Ngata, Renya Xydis, Angelo Seminara, Sally and Jamie Brooks, Zoe Irwin, Recine, Eugene Soulieman, and make up artists Dotti and Jodi Oliver.

Kimberley has lived and worked in both London and New York and regularly visits Hong Kong for particular clients.

She has been involved in training and education within the Hairdressing industry and has worked very closely with luxury brand Louis Vuiton with their grooming guides and staff grooming training in Australia. Over the years Kimberley has also directed numerous shows at Australian Fashion Week for both Hair and Makeup and been a part of many teams.

Having worked in the creative editorial and advertising world for over 15 years, Kimberley has made up the faces and tended the hair of numerous famous musicians, actors, business leaders and models alike. She enjoys the collaborative process and is very much drawn to people who push themselves outside their comfort zone both creatively and professionally and those who are inspired by life and art in its many shapes and forms.

Kimberley is down to earth, hard working, and a passionate woman who is sought out for her wealth of knowledge, professionalism, her keen eye for the latest trends, and the perfect balance she strikes between the artistry of make up and the technical side of hairdressing and styling hair.
