Originally from the Midwest USA, KAREN GILLIS graduated with a degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Administration before studying food styling at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York.

Armed with these skills and her natural talent, Karen was soon working as a successful food stylist. After 12 years working commercially in America, Karen and her family relocated to Sydney permanently in 2004.

Karen has an eye for details and the ability to source and style both food and props. She is an accomplished and highly capable professional in the areas of recipe testing, food preparation, food styling and prop styling, making her an indispensable commodity in the world of food photography.
