Grant grew up on the southern beaches of Sydney, Australia. This bred a surf and skate culture into his DNA. Coming from a bloodline of seafarers - his Grandfather a World War II navy veteran and Father a Marine Mechanic, his love of the ocean and outdoors adventure has shaped his photographic style.
After nine years in the UK/Europe working for international brands and publications this has afforded him a wealth of experience and technical ability. A self motivated, highly creative, yet methodical member of the team with the ability to transform ideas and bring them to life. Humble and personable with an easy going nature that enables him to work effectively across a variety of stakeholders, projects and deliverables. Now residing back in Sydney, Smith specialises in sport, portraiture & lifestyle for a range of advertising and editorial clients locally and internationally.
Best known for his ability to form an instant rapport with his subjects while shooting portraits, which is evident in his work using both digital and film formats.
